Worksheets, workbooks, and digital products!
A little note about the new shop I have created on my website :)
When I first entered the mental health field, I would be doing google searches and constantly ask all my coworkers for worksheets and resources. I really enjoyed being able to hand my clients something tangible at the end of each session. Something they could bring home and use as a reminder. I found that in most cases, it helped clients feel connected to their treatment process and gave them insight and ownership in their treatment planning.
As the years went by and I became more confident in my skills, I found that i would introduce a concept and not have a worksheet or handout readily available to provide. Instead, I would scramble to find a piece of notebook paper, computer paper, and in once case the back of an oil change invoice ( being a mobile therapist made me a very resourceful person) and then map out whatever coping skill, theory, or intervention we were discussing. Once I started doing virtual sessions, I pivoted from random pieces of paper to quick and dirty word documents. Nothing super fancy but they got the job done.
I’m not a graphic designer. I’m not a great (or even sub par) artist. I never thought that I could never create and sell my own worksheets and therapy resources… and through this huge journey of social media and having an online presence that my version of “art” or design can actually work for some people. So I decided to take the leap and create a shop of digital products. I’m starting small… just a few tools for ADHD management and/or stress management. But I’m hoping that in the coming months I will have more resources for anxiety, trauma, autism, and bicultural identity exploration
